Course Description

ASMI’s Intensive Sonography Introduction Program (ISIP) is designed to introduce existing staff within imaging departments into ultrasound training.The ISIP removes associated stress and lost productivity of early training and allows the trainee to establish basic ultrasound skills in an uninterrupted and structured training environment.Featuring our industry leading sonographers the ISIP provides intensive personal tuition with extensive hands on scanning.This practical and rigorous program accelerates the progress of the trainee whilst allowing existing qualified staff to work at full capacity and maintain productivity within your department.

Curriculum

• Basic instrumentation and recognition of artifacts
• Practical scan techniques including acoustic windows, patient positioning and ergonomic awareness.
• Introduction to sonography
• Abdomen
• Urinary Tract
• Male and Female Pelvis
• Tuition in common scanning protocols and pathologies
